podcast· 43:17· Ep 144144. San Sebastian, Spain. The best things to do in San Sebastian.
In this episode we’re heading back to one of our absolute favourite cities in Spain, San Sebastián. This beautiful Basque city on the Bay of Biscay has a bit of everything we love when we travel. Incredible food, stunning beaches, an easy-to-walk city centre and one of the best food cultures in Europe thanks to its famous pintxos bars. This was our second visit, and it confirmed what we already suspected… San Sebastián might just be Lyle’s favourite Spanish city. In today’s episode we wander through the Old Town, stroll along the famous La Concha promenade, take in the views from the surrounding hills, and talk about the pintxos culture that makes the city such a food lover’s paradise. Stay listening because we’ll also tell you about one of the most unusual, and honestly slightly gross sounding pintxos that we tried… and ended up absolutely loving. And we’ll explain why the fanciest hotelin town still has bullet holes in its walls. And if you’d like to see the photos, a map with all th

Page Cellars
Todd Krivoshein of Page Cellars When Todd and Dee Krivoshein became club members at Page Cellar s founded in 2000 by Jim and Rothelle Page, they never imagined they would one day own the winery. Todd did have a love of winemaking kindled during his young years when he helped out at his uncle’s Walla Walla winery. He also helped Jim out in the cellar, so was very familiar with winery work. During covid he just happened to be looking for a new job at the same time Dee saw an ad for a winery up for sale. The description sounded a lot like Page Cellars so they inquired, and the rest is history. They became owners of Page Cellars in 2021 and Todd became the winemaker, with a lot of excellent mentoring from Jim. Todd and Dee continue the vision and traditions that have made Page Cellars successful from the beginning. A key aspect of that vision is a commitment to Red Mountain fruit for Page Cellars red wines. Todd spends time in the vines and s

videoJulien tastes our SORRASCA 2019🍷!
Julien just tasted the Sorrasca 2019 from Dominio de Casalta… and his reaction says it all. Fresh, vibrant, loaded with juicy blueberry, blackcurrant, and raspberry character — unbelievably crisp for an eight-year-old red wine made from 100 percent Petit Verdot grown in the limestone soils of Almansa. This is Petit Verdot like you’ve never seen it: bold, expressive, and shockingly alive in the glass. A tiny production of only 5,500 bottles, aged 24 months in French oak… and absolutely worth discovering. videoI Bought A Dozen Of Nearly Every Wine (Blind Tasting)
This might be the best blind tasting lineup we've ever had. Different Drop sent us six wines from wine making legends around the world, and we ended up buying a dozen of almost every single wine. Usually in these tastings, I'm hunting for something to give a dozen to. This time? I was hunting for something I didn't want a dozen of. Out of six wines, the scores were: dozen, dozen, dozen, dozen, dozen, six. That's how good this lineup was. What we tasted: Six wines from legendary producers across the globe—sparkling, whites, orange, and reds. From $49 to $165. The South African Redemption: Yes, this was blind. No, we didn't know it was South African when we called it our wine of the lineup. The best Cinsault I've ever had—it tastes like really good French Pinot, great Australian Grenache, or as it turns out, incredible South African Cinsault. Sometimes you need to be proven wrong, and we're here for it. The Verdict: When wine-making legends live up to their names, you buy the wine. S

videoBollini Pinot Grigio and Merlot Review | Two Table Wines That Won’t Let You Down
This week the crew kicks off a new Table Wine mini-series with a surprise twist. Joel, Aaron, and Colin open not one but two bottles from Bollini: a 2024 Pinot Grigio and a 2023 Merlot. The goal is simple. Find affordable, crowd friendly wines you can set on the holiday table without overthinking a thing. The trio talks through what makes a true table wine, why ABV matters more than you think, and how the 20-20 rule keeps both reds and whites tasting their best. They dig into Bollini’s story, the Dolomites, and why this producer leans on clean, stainless steel winemaking to let their fruit speak for itself. From pear and green apple freshness in the Pinot Grigio to cherry, strawberry, and a touch of spice in the Merlot, the team breaks down both bottles with their usual blend of curiosity and chaos. Expect friendly debates, plenty of quaffable energy, and a few unexpected detours involving weddings, grocery store wines, and silent haircuts. If you’re figuring out what to bring to Tha
