2020 Firestone Walker Cherry Barrel Blossom - A Porter Aged in Bourbon and Cherry Bitter Barrels?
Firestone Walker doesn't have distribution in Michigan - the closest you can go is Indiana, if you're interested in picking up their beer. Thankfully Tavour exists and I was able to get a bottle of their Cherry Barrel Blossom from 2020, an imperial porter aged in bourbon and cherry bitter barrels with sea salt. What? Cherry bitter barrels? Never tried that before - so it must be a good candidate for the Cellar Dive! If you'd like to support the channel, buy me a beer or become an executive produ

Tasting Notes: 2020 Mean Mallow Bean - Drafting Table's Barrel Aged Marshmallow and Vanilla Stout
Cellar Dive January continues, this time I'm tasting Drafting Table Brewing Company's Mean Mallow Bean from 2020. I've been waiting to review this for a long time, but this beer has always been a hard one for me to track down. Thankfully, my Dewey Podmonster co-host John Fahrner was generous enough to pass this one along - was it worth the wait, and has this 2 year old beer held up over that time? Fresh to the market, Sunny D is now a vodka seltzer drink. 0g of Sugar, 4.5% ABV, Gluten Free and full of "natural flavor", does this new drink bring up fond memories of guzzling the orange juice substitute, or is it a mouth full of artificial sweetener? When it Comes to Beer - How Old is Too Old?
Spring has sprung in Michigan, and that means it's Oberon day again. While March 20th 2023 was approaching, I discovered a couple 6 packs of 14 year old Oberon in my basement. With the release of Bell's Oberon for 2023, I thought it would be fun to see how a 14 year old Oberon would stack up against the freshest release. I didn't die, so it must not be that bad, right? You'll be surprised by what it looks like though. This is why you should drink beer as fresh as possible. If you'd like to suppo

2017 Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout - Develops in the Bottle Over 5 Years
Another cellar dive, and this time around I've unearthed a 5 year old Goose Island Beer Company Bourbon County Brand Stout, or BCBS for short. This is the grand daddy of bourbon barrel aged stouts, so let's get cracking and see if Goose Island's BCBS does really continue to develop over 5 plus years. 2017 Wolverine State Brewing Company Massacre - A 6 Year Old Bourbon Barrel Aged Lager?
It's Cellar Dive time again, and today is a request from one of my Executive Producer tiered Patrons - Cam Freeman. I put the call out to the group to see what beers out of my cellar they'd like to see a re-review of and Wolverine State Brewing Company's 2017 vintage of Massacre was his choice. Massacre is a 14.5% ABV bourbon barrel aged imperial dark lager, and this is a beer I talked about when it was originally released. Can a beer like this hold up after all this time? If you'd like to suppo

Dogfish Head - 120 Minute IPA (2018) - How Long Can You Age an IPA?
This edition of the cellar dive, I'm taking a look at a beer that I've had in my collection for five years already - Dogfish Head's 120 Minute IPA. This massive imperial IPA is between 15-20% (love the ambiguity here), and this will be my first time trying this, even though I knew this day would come eventually. Is 5 years too long to age this beer? Maybe give it another 5 years? Let's try it out and see. If you'd like to support the channel, buy me a beer or become an executive producer, check
