videoMoscato Di Scanzo Italy an Introduction Reel
Moscato di Scanzo DOCG Italy We were off on our first trip into Italian wine country before the Wine Media Conference in Lombardia. On the road, our little bus heading from Milan to Bergamo was filled with wine writers chattering excitedly. As we approached Bergamo, the little bus left the freeway traffic and began surfing the serpentine two-lane roads of the region’s hills. The hills are lush and green, and trees are sweeping in a blur as we take turns. Expansive views of the landscape to the south fan out before us one moment, followed by peeks into tiny valleys tucked in between the hills as the road hairpins back on itself. At last, we turn down a steep driveway into a property called Martinì Col di Paste. As we pull down the driveway, a magnificent little valley opens in front of us. It was picture postcard perfect. This was our destination, the valley of the Moscato di Scanzo DOCG. Francesca Pagnoncelli Folcieri First to greet us was a petite woman casually dressed in
videoDr. Homebrew | Episode #276: Back to the '90's
We had this idea: what if we had a few adventurous homebrewers brew beers according to some old set of BJCP style guidelines? Could they do it? What would that judging be like? How much has beer changed over the last 20 years or so? Turns out, there were other people who wanted to know the answers to those questions, too! So on today's show, we have on three homebrewers who each brewed some throwback beers for us, according to the 1999 BJCP style guidelines. Fun!

If you have ever dealt with heartbreak in recovery, this episode is for you. I had the opportunity to interview my long time friend, Ivey, who got sober at 18 years old. We go through her childhood and early drug use in the first hour, and in the second hour, we delve into her marriage and motherhood at just 22 years old with a few years sober, and her subsequent divorce by 27. Ivey is so incredibly vulnerable and honest in sharing her experience with heartbreak and then dating in sobriety, and I am so proud of her. Ivey and I also talk about our recent separation in our friendship...if you have been listening to the show for a while, you have probably heard me mention a friend that I have missed and have often expressed deep regret about losing - this is who I was talking about. Ivey and I had the opportunity to make amends to each other and I while I hate that we had a disagreement in the first place, I love that in real time you all were able to walk with me through a crushing frien

podcast· 59:19· Ep 496Wine Talks with Paul Mabray: Navigating the Digital Evolution of the Wine Industry
Next week, I am in Paris. And I have the privledge to document the session on "Rethinking The WIne Business." Two of the prominent panel members are Paul Mabray and Priscilla Hennekam. There is a movement in the trade to mix things up a bit; make some changes, move the needle a bit. Paul Mabray is considered the pre-eminent authority of all things digital wine. Platforms, logistics, user-experience and more, all play into the realm of Paul's knowledge base. I have to tell you, having Paul Mabray on the show was a breath of fresh air—no other way to describe it. He's got this knack for slicing through the clutter and getting to the heart of what's happening in the wine world today. You know me, I love a good anecdote and an insightful thought, and he delivered plenty. Right out of the gate, Paul Mabray hit us with a beautiful metaphor: a glass of wine is a time capsule, a space-time machine connecting you to France ten years ago, or some other corner of the world and moment in history.

The Planet The Living Planet Kelp
A Balanced Ecosystem for all There are many ways to keep the ecosystem Balanced…here are a few Kelp has been found to be a terrific fertilizer, building immunity and helping with any nutrient deficiencies, and it can help defend plants from insects and build resistance to disease.
