Wine Words
Episode One, Two and Three: A Deep Dive into Winemaking - 1: White Wines, 2: Red Wines, 3: Troon Wines There are a lot of adjectives used to describe winemaking these days. While much emotion is used in debating them, all are inadequate in one way or the other. Some of the most common are: Industrial Designed wines that use all the tools and additives available to create a product to satisfy a specific group of consumers. They are constructed like any mass consumer brand, like soft drinks, snacks, and all ultra-processed food products, and made by committees, marketers, and accountants more than winemakers. The wine shelves in your grocery store are full of them. These wines are interchangeable and better categorized as beverage alcohol rather than wine as they have the same relationship to grapes that Doritos have to corn. Conventional Often wrongly confused with industrial wines, which some certainly are, these are the wines many medium and small wineries produce. Most of these winem

videoTenuta di Renieri Chianti Classico Reserva 2021 Review | A Safe Bet from Tuscany
This week, the guys pop open the 2021 Tenuta di Renieri Chianti Classico Riserva. A $25 bottle that James Suckling stamped with 95 points. The question, does that score really hold up? Along the way we dig into what separates Chianti Classico from the rest of Chianti, the rules behind Riserva and Gran Riserva, and why the black rooster on the label actually matters. We also roll out our brand-new game Viterations, where this Riserva gets reimagined as a car, a cheese, and even an Italian speedo. Looking for a solid Sangiovese that won’t empty your wallet? This one might be your next dinner table pick. podcast· 1h 40mTundA* Replay 1: Backpfeifen und Herzkirschen
Tim verteilt ordentlich Berliner Nackenschellen an Mützen-Hipster-Restaurants, befördert

videoWhy we love Nero D'Avola
Bright. Juicy. Impossible not to love. ❤️ Our Nero d’Avola is bursting with fresh blackcurrant, plum and raspberry sorbet vibes... the kind of wine that makes you want to fire up the BBQ or lounge by the pool with friends. This Sicilian varietal may have its roots on the slopes of Mount Etna, but here in Australia it’s thriving as a standalone star, elegant, fruit-driven, and oh-so-drinkable. ✨ One sip and you’ll know why our winemakers are stoked with this release. 👉 Grab your bottle of Nero from the Single Suitcase Collection. https://vist.ly/464bw #NeroDAvola #SaddlersCreekWines #HunterValleyWine #ItalianWine #WineTasting

Kellerei Bozen Lagrein Pairing with a One Pot Sausage and Farro Dish
It’s amazing how fast the years go by and as I reflect on the anniversary of Vino Travels this month as it has been 12 years since I started my blogging and wine journey . I’ve come a long way and still have a long way to go, but that’s why they call it a journey right?! There is no better way to celebrate my blogiversary than with our Italian Food, Wine & Travel gro up as we celebrate alpine red and white wines of Italy this month . It’s been an educational experience learning and writing alongside many of the writers of this group throughout these 12 years . What’s even better is that the wines that I'm sharing today from Kellerei Bozen were enjoyed amongst many of the members of this wine group since one of the writers, Susannah of Vigneto Communications , invited us to a virtual tasting with the Winery Director , Matthias Messner, to learn all about Kel lerei Bo zen . Think Sauvignon Blanc is just Sancerre or New Zealand? Touraine Oisly in the Loire Valley begs to differ. This organic, small-production white is grown on sandy clay soils that yield vibrant acidity and minerality. Aged on lees, it brings unexpected depth, texture, and character, offering crisp citrus layered with subtle savory notes. Perfect with seafood, goat cheese, or any dish that benefits from freshness with substance. By highlighting overlooked appellations like Oisly, Loire growers are proving Sauvignon Blanc can go far beyond the familiar. Tried Sauvignon outside Sancerre? podcast· 58:29#230.
