The Cite du Vin is one of Bordeaux's most popular tourist attractions. Cite du Vin was opened in 2016 and it the most visited tourist attraction in Bordeaux. It is an interactive museum all about wine. It not only talks about Bordeaux wine but wines from all around the world and cover everything to do with wine including how it is made and how to smell wine. It is around 23 Euros for adult entry but I think it is worth it. You could spend anywhere from 2-5 hours there depending on how interested in you are in trying all the interactive exhibits. The museum visit ends on the rooftop where you get a free glass of wine and a stunning view of Bordeaux. Ricasolil is the oldest winery in Italy and one of the oldest family-owned businesses in the world, with winemaking roots dating back to 1141. Ricasoli owns abou 1,200 hectares of property include almost 240 hectares of vineyards and 26 of olive groves. Brolio Castle, where the winery is located, was originally purchased by the noble family of Ricasoli in 1141. It was in their family for many generations but in the 1960s, ti was sold to Seagrams. After a number of ownership changes, the current and 32nd Baron, Baron Francesco Ricasoli reacquired the castle in 1993, He then revamped the entire vineyard, modernized production and mapped the entire vineyard site. He found 19 different soil variations comprised of 5 different soils. These soil variations produced different characteristics from Sangiovese grown there.
