I’ve not been there, but would drop everything if an opportunity were to come up. It’s located from the peaks of the Andes mountains, and goes down into the valleys and river basin. Can you […] The post Alta Vista Is A Relatively New Winery In Life And Legacy first appeared on Wine Blog .

videoThe 2,000-year-old wine Stanley Tucci just featured
Stanley Tucci just introduced the world to Falanghina, a 2,000-year-old grape that almost disappeared from the face of the earth. 🍇🇮🇹 By the 1970s, this historic Roman wine was virtually extinct. If it wasn't for the Mustilli family in Campania refusing to let it die, we wouldn't have it today. If you want to taste history, buy a bottle of Mustilli. They earned it. But if you can't find it, or you want to experience that same intense, volcanic Vesuvius soil from a different angle, you need to pour a glass of Fiano di Avellino. It shares the exact same regional DNA and drinks beautifully. What is your favorite Italian white wine? Drop it in the comments. 👇 Hit the link in our bio to grab a bottle of Fiano di Avellino before the Tucci effect sells out the entire region. #stanleytucci #searchingforitaly #falanghina #italianwine #campania

Blue Flag now flying over familiar Fort Worth spot
Single malt in the bottle, Blue Flag Pale Ale in the glass (Photos © Brian Brown/Beer in Big D). A new beverage alcohol business called Blue Flag Distillery has taken over a long-time familiar spot in the Near Southside neighborhood of Fort Worth. Led by Will Rucker and Nate Swan, Blue Flag replaces Rahr & Sons Brewing Co. at 701 Galveston Ave., with the brewery's former taproom transformed into a special event space known as The Vault. Blue Flag has been hosting private events there for a few weeks, but a Saturday soft opening was the first time The Vault's doors were open to the public. Incidentally, Rucker comes from an oil and gas background, while Swan spent many years as a cellarman and brewer at Rahr & Sons, which for him means this new venture makes for a full-circle moment. So, what's the "blue flag" all about? It's drawn from a tradition built around neighborhood gatherings. Symbolic of an open invitation, if a blue flag was being flown outside of someone's hous
