I give a short history of the area and some of the vineyards and wineries before we hear from Patrick Shabram who is a geographer specializing in vineyards and AVA's discuss some of what merits the inclusion of this new AVA. Afterwards we hear from Becky Bloomfield whose family has been farming in this area since the 1940's, she runs Bloomfield vineyards and is also the president of the Contra Costa Winegrowers.
