Soms wordt houtrijping helemaal achterwege gelaten. Soms maken producenten gebruik van grote vaten en mogen ze de termen als reserva en crianza niet meer gebruiken. Neues Weinrecht

Noch dieses Jahr müssen sich Erzeuger/innen und Käufer/innen deutscher Weine auf neue Angaben zu Nährwerten und Zutaten im Wein und damit auf veränderte Etiketten einstellen. Außerdem läuft bereits seit zwei Jahren die Übergangszeit zu einer grundlegenden Änderung im Weinrecht, mit der die Qualität deutscher Weine neu definiert wird. Spätestens mit dem Weinjahrgang 2026 endet diese Übergangfrist, dann sind Erzeuger/innen verpflichtet, die Änderungen umzusetzen. Was die neuen Bezeichnungen bedeuten, und welche Qualität dahinter zu erwarten ist, darüber spricht Ernst Büscher (Ressortleiter Presse im Deutschen Weininstitut) mit Christian Schwörer, dem Generalsekretär des Deutschen Weinbauverbandes.
