He and his wife, Robin, purchased a farm in the beautiful Hudson Valley in 2014 and have since been cultivating grains and fruit in pursuit of their latest project, the Branchwater distillery. Det er De treffer med sine prisgunstige, fruktdrevne viner som passer godt til hverdags, i tillegg til mer raffinerte, elegante Barolo-viner av beste sort. En engasjert, uredd personlighet kombinert en klar holdning til hva vinkvalitet er har vært oppskriften til suksess for Giovanna Bagnasco og hennes søster Serena siden de tok over Brandini i 2017. Giovanna Bagnasco har sammen med søsteren Serena og familen opplevd at deres viner har blitt tatt inn i basislisteføring på Vinmonopolet mer eller mindre umiddelbart. Man skulle tro at Piemonte ikke hadde mer overraskelser på lur. Der tok Norge feil.
