Darcy Pendergrass: Oral History Interview
This interview is with Darcy Pendergrass of Amity Vineyards. In this interview, Darcy talks about her journey from tasting room associate to winemaker at Amity, and what she has been up to since then. Darcy shares about growing up in Oregon and staying close by in Montana for college. After earning her degree in microbiology to work in healthcare, then later deciding that wasn’t for her, she moved back home and started Chemeketa’s new viticulture program. Darcy talks about meeting Patrick McElligott there, who hired her at the Amity Vineyards tasting room and thus changed the trajectory of her career. When she met Myron Redford, he realized her potential and encouraged her to start working in the cellar. Later in the interview, Darcy discusses her promotions from cellar master to assistant winemaker and eventually to winemaker, all at Amity Vineyards. podcast· 25:11· Ep 12Winiarska Majorka: Los Dos Caballeros - z miłości do miejsca i wina
Projekt Waltera i Williama to coś więcej niż wino: to konsekwentna filozofia zrów

The Wine Makers – Spring Release Show
Spring has arrived in Sonoma, the sun is out, and the new releases are finally coming out of the cellar. This week we sit down and taste through the latest wines from Dane Cellars, Jambe des Bois, and Winery Sixteen 600. Along the way we talk about where the fruit comes from, the vineyards behind the wines, and how each bottle was made. The lineup gets a lot of attention, including the JDB Gamay, Bart’s Silver Cloud Sauvignon Blanc, and Sixteen 600’s Steel Plow Grenache. After about the tenth wine the conversation loosens up a bit. We tried to spit most of them, but a few were just too good to let go. All of the wines we tasted are available now through the wineries’ websites. podcast· 15:08· S21E5Little Red Riding Hood's Wine: Fairy Tale Turned Drunk History? | S21E5
This episode explores some controversial silliness over a bottle of wine that shows up in a classic fairy tale. We take a look at the history, and then casually address the wine Little Red Riding Hood may have actually hauled through the woods to her ailing grandma in rural 19th century Germany. We end with a crazy pairing ... all in the spirit of entertainment. podcast· 29:31347.

videoTHE RUNNING MAN (1987) Paired With Love and Hate
With the brand new Edgar Wright re-adaptation about to drop on Friday, we decided to revisit the OG 1987 movie, itself an adaptation of the “Richard Bachman” novel, itself the pseudonym that Stephen King wrote his non-horror novels under, something he managed to keep secret for over a decade and hysterically the person who secured the movie rights to the book had no idea it was King!!! We deep dive into this history, then talk at length about the movie’s themes and whether or not they resonate today (we did NOT agree on this point!) A man falsely accused of crimes forced to fend for his life on a televised game show where the stakes are life and death all for the entertainment of the passive masses…that sure sounds pretty resonate today, doesn’t it? And in broad strokes, it absolutely is. But the devil is in them details. 0:00 Bumper / Opening 1:57 Wine Trivia Question of the Week 3:07 Richard Bachman / Stephen King 7:32 George Linder and The Running Man 11:29 Screenwriter Steven E
