di Carlo Macchi Quando si parla di vini macerati è molto difficile non schierarsi, essere pro o contro, ma l’incontro che abbiamo fatto ad Oslavia con quattro dei “magnifici sette” è nato solo per cercare di capire: capire come nascono, in che cosa sono realmente diversi sia dai vini non macerati che tra loro. Poi è seguito l’assaggio e qui non schierarsi con i propri preconcetti (pro o contro) è stato ancora più difficile e dovrete giudicare voi se ci siamo riusciti. I quattro produttori erano Radikon, Primosic, Fiegl e Il Carpino e la prima cosa che posso dire è che non credevo potessero esserci differenze così grandi tra vini macerati. Ma andiamo con calma, premettendo che la storia del “precursore” degli oslaviani, cioè Gravner, è sicuramente diversa e forse più complicata e magari potremo investigare in altri articoli. Esistono ancora le lucciole? Me lo sono chiesta il 28 luglio 2026, quando ho saputo che Emidio Pepe se n’era andato, a novantaquattro anni. Sono tornata a Vino al vino, a quelle pagine in cui Mario Soldati, nell’autunno del 1975, veniva accolto da Emidio e da sua moglie Rosa e descriveva un uomo che faceva vino «in maniera rigorosamente tradizionale e familiare». Sessant’anni dopo, quel modo di fare vino non è cambiato molto, e il mondo intero è andato a cercarlo a Torano Nuovo. Ma la domanda resta, ed è forse la sola che conti davvero rileggendo Soldati oggi: l’Abruzzo che lui ha visto esiste ancora?
