Emberstone Irish Whiskey Enters India’s Premium Spirits Market
Emberstone Irish Whiskey has entered the Indian market, positioning itself as a premium offering within the country’s fast-growing Irish whiskey segment. The brand is being rolled out across key markets including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Goa, targeting regions with strong premium spirits consumption and evolving consumer preferences. The launch is centred on craftsmanship, refinement and a distinctive maturation process designed to differentiate the expression in an increasingly competitive category. Emberstone said the whiskey is triple-distilled and non-chill filtered to preserve its natural character and texture. The spirit is matured in ex-bourbon casks before undergoing finishing in Oloroso sherry and Banyuls wine barrels, a combination intended to deliver additional complexity and depth. According to the brand, the whiskey offers notes of honeyed malt, baked orchard fruits, gentle nuttiness and soft tannins, complemented by aromas of dried fruits, vanill

Try | Lava, vento e nuvole.

A Not Serious Spotlight on Central Otago Pinot Noir
READ TIME: Two generous pours and cheese board (20-25 minutes) THE CENTRAL DOZEN ‘23 When Carolyn Murray from Central Otago Winegrowers Association (COWA) asked if I wanted to receive a box of 12 Pinot Noir wines to taste, it was pretty easy to accept. No sooner had the ‘woosh’ of the departing ‘yes please’ email left my eardrums, I was overcome by two emotions: imposter syndrome and the guilt of potential waste. SERIOUSLY, YOU WANT ME TO DO WHAT NOW? Who am I to validate the efforts of some of our nation’s top producers? After a little meditation on the purpose of Not Serious Wine Chats I decided, actually — this is exactly what Not Serious Wine Chats is all about. I’m a wine drinker, making me as qualified as the next guy to slug a goodly sip and think about how a wine makes me feel. Also COWA had already enlisted the very qualified taste buds connected to the expert cerebral cortex of Emma Jenkins, Master of Wine, to select the Central Dozen, so really — the pressure was off. St Johns Wine Round Puzzle Cabernet Malbec Merlot 2022
Bold and unapologetically rustic, this Bordeaux-style blend offers power and savoury depth in equal doses. Opening with a rush of drunken plums, ripe blackberries and evocative Black Forest cake, savoury notes of charred wood, barbecue smoke and crushed granite build anticipation. Firm and muscular to taste, the dense fruit is wrapped in a sheet of tense, dusty tannins. Structured rather than plush, layers of black pepper spice and charcoal peer through the mid-palate. Some granite-like minerality adds detail, offering tension and focus that carries through to a dry, gripping finish. Sit this beside a slab of protein and you're winning. It's nicely done. 91/100 Region: Blackwood Valley RRP: $40 Source: Sample Winery Website Subscribe to Qwine here Follow: Instagram , LinkedIn and X

Why we sued California over winery distribution laws
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2R2KXNQR1M&list=RDU2R2KXNQR1M&start_radio=1 On February 24, 2026, my co-counsel, Gillian Garrett and I filed suit against the State of California challenging laws that allow California wineries to sell directly to California retailers without using a wholesaler, while denying those same privileges to out-of-state wineries. We believe California’s system violates the dormant Commerce Clause by granting in-state [...]

A look at 2025 North Texas production numbers
Click to enlarge. This is the annual update of the breakdown of brewery sizes in North Texas, based on 2025 production data as reported to the Brewers Association (BA) and published in the May/June 2026 issue of The New Brewer . Note, not all brewing companies provide their numbers, and some report statistics combining multiple locations. For 2025, roughly 80% of brewing companies active in North Texas are accounted for in the BA's production report. Data also includes production from breweries that closed during the course of 2025. As a result, the number of entities represented in the chart is not equal to the total number of breweries open and operating at any given time. Inside the numbers: Brewery tiers in North Texas, based on production (shown alphabetically): Regional (> 15,000 bbls) Manhattan Project Beer Co. of Dallas. Large (> 10,000 bbls) Martin House Brewing Co. of Fort Worth. Mid-Size (> 5000 bbls) Co

Librandi - Cirò Rosso Classico Superiore Riserva DOC "Duca Sanfelice" 2021
di Luciano Pignataro Questa etichetta storica viaggia verso i 40 anni non delude mai. Se cercate un rosso da bere sul pesce, eccolo: magari su una cernia al forno a due passi dallo Jonio. Una bella annata anche in Calabria. Gaglioppo in purezza, vivo, fresco, tannini risolti, persistente. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.
