Your Frankly A Bit Too Humid Post-Canada Day 2026 Doldrums Edition Of The Beery News Notes

A wine glass is never neutral, and Josephinenhütte has built an entire philosophy around that idea: The Shape of Taste. At its center is the Josephine collection’s signature bend, a calculated form Kurt Josef Zalto spent 30 years refining through hundreds of prototypes. Mouth blown by hand, each of the ten shapes acts as a … The post How Kurt Josef Zalto engineered the Shape of Taste appeared first on World Of Fine Wine .

Brewser, the direct-from-brewery beer subscription, is re-introducing itself to UK drinkers with a simple promise: the beer in the box comes straight from the brewery that made it, as fresh as beer gets, and tastes better for it. A new look at Domaine de la Mordorée
When tasting for the last Châteauneuf-du-Pape Report, I had the pleasure of a visit at Domaine de la Mordorée. As is often the case in the region, while they produce Châteauneuf wines, they aren’t located in Châteauneuf proper, but instead, across the Rhône in the village of Tavel which is famed for its unique style of rosé wines. Mordorée produces CdP there, as well as Tavel, Lirac, Côtes du Rhône, and a couple of Vin de France just to keep things interesting. The winery was originally founded by father and […] For full access, please log in or purchase a subscription.

Beer In Ads #5281: New Lebanon’s Special Brew Of Bock Beer For The 4th Of July
Two years ago I decided to concentrate on Bock ads for awhile. Bock, of course, may have originated in Germany, in the town of Einbeck. Because many 19th century American breweries were founded by German immigrants, they offered a bock at certain times of the year, be it Spring, Easter, Lent, Christmas, or what have […]

Stewart Brewing, St Giles Scotch Ale, 5%
I do like a Scotch Ale. Perhaps it’s fading memories of youthful drinking of 70 & 80 Shillings Ale. Memories can sometimes be a bit unreliable however – as I found out with St Giles Scotch Ale. It ticked all the right boxes. A Craft Brewery on the outskirts of Edinburgh. A dark looking beer … Continue reading Stewart Brewing, St Giles Scotch Ale, 5% →

Naga “Full Proof” Kingdom of Siam 10YO Thailand Rum – Review
Naga’s full proof 62.3% ten year old rum from Thailand, is the one that lies at the core of all the others in the range. For the standard 10YO, they diluted it to 40%. For the “Shani” version, they aged it an additional year in P/X. But for my money, had they simply started out [Click here for the full review...]
