#life unplugged
Earlier this year, we got together with barleywine specialists, New Image Brewing out of Colorado, to collaborate on a barrel-aged barleywine, that we’ve named #life unplugged . As we discussed our mutual interests and relative differences in approach, we devised a recipe for an English barleywine hybrid with a touch more flavor hopping in the whirlpool that started at a "lower" gravity (28 Plato) than New Image typically employs and racked it into a blend of Port and Cognac finished bourbon barrels and laid to rest in the cellar for 6 months before it was released in Colorado during GABF. It’s taken a minute, but we’re thrilled to finally have a handful of cases of #life unplugged in house to share with you! We’re releasing it at the brewery on Black Friday and will have a few bottles available online for shipping within Oregon as well.
