podcast· 15:04The Real Problem Isn't Your Drinking (It's This)
What if quitting drinking isn’t actually the real problem? In this episode of Wild Sobriety , I share how I stopped making alcohol the center of my life — and started focusing on what actually mattered: learning to handle real life without needing to escape it. I talk about how changing my relationship with alcohol wasn’t about giving something up, but about raising the quality of my problems — from “how do I stop drinking?” to “how do I create a life that doesn’t need alcohol at all?” It’s not about perfection. It’s about presence, power, and emotional maturity — the kind that makes you proud of who you’re becoming. ✨ Takeaways: • The real reason trying to “quit drinking” keeps you stuck • What I focus on now instead of “not drinking” • How I learned to see alcohol as a symptom, not the source • The truth about emotional avoidance and self-abandonment • The simple question I ask myself that always brings me back to peace Learn how to say no to alcohol, deprivation free with your wild
videoEp. 2652 Cristina Mercuri MW: Becoming Italy’s First Female Master of Wine | #openbarstevie
Welcome to #openbarstevie and Episode 2652 of the Italian Wine Podcast. It’s a casual video podcast filmed in the office, where wine people drop by, open a bottle or two, and hang out with moi! 😝 Sometimes they come alone, often in pairs or small groups. The conversation flows naturally and is not limited to wine. It touches on family, friendships, work, failures, successes, current events, and above all the Italian way of living. This is not an interview series in the traditional sense. It is closer to friends meeting at aperitivo time. Wine is the excuse, NOT the subject. The focus is on lived experience. What it really means to live and work in Italy today. The beauty, the contradictions, the chaos, the privilege, and the everyday rituals that define Italian lifestyle. 💡 Format: 30 to 45 minutes Filmed in the office with a relaxed, low-production setup 1 to 3 guests per episode Guests can be producers, communicators, importers, educators, creatives, or friend

"Honoring Veterans by Providing Help" with Jeff Smith
The mental health and substance use disorders that challenge veterans are not unusual, and they occasionally lead to homelessness. Recently in Wisconsin, funding for the Veterans Housing and Recovery Program (VHRP) was removed from the two-year state budget, and, as a result, two transitional homes for veterans were closed. Wisconsin State Senator Jeff Smith has introduced legislation to reopen — and keep open — those homes. He discusses those efforts, political obstacles, and other issues around mental health and substance use disorders that veterans are facing. Senator Jeff Smith (D-Brunswick) currently serves as the 31st Senate District State Senator and is the Senate Democratic Assistant Leader. He also serves as the Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Health. Senator Smith can be reached at Senator Jeff Smith | Senate District 31 . The State of Wisconsin's Dose of Reality campaign is at Dose of Reality: Opioids in Wisconsin . More information about the federal response to th

videoThe Ultimate Easter Wine? Tasting Roche's 2025 Zweigelt Rosé (Day 37)
I think I just found the perfect wine for ham, turkey AND sushi... Welcome back to Day 37 of our YouTube challenge! We're opening a different Canadian wine every single day until we hit 1,000 subscribers. Today, we're talking about one of my absolute favorite food and wine pairings for Easter: Rosé. But not just any rosé! I'm tasting the brand new 2025 Roche Zweigelt Rosé 'Artist' from the Naramata Bench in the Okanagan Valley. If you've never had a rosé made from the Austrian Zweigelt grape, you are in for a treat. This isn't a lean, little "baby rosé." With its bright acidity, beautiful red cherry and crushed raspberry notes, and savory hints of dry sage and rosemary, this is a "big boy" wine that can stand up to almost anything on your Easter table. Whether you're serving traditional smoked ham, turkey with stuffing, or going off the beaten path with crab legs and sushi — this wine has the weight and texture to handle it all. At around $27, it's an absolute steal and easily my #
