Allied Blenders & Distillers Maintains Sustained Double-Digit Growth: Alok Gupta
Sees huge potential in Aftica market Luxury Portfolio Driving Expansion Participating in MML segment Allied Blenders and Distillers remains confident of sustaining strong growth momentum across domestic and international markets, supported by premiumisation, expanding exports, capacity investments and a growing luxury portfolio, Managing Director Alok Gupta said in an interview. Gupta said the company continues to maintain its guidance of double-digit volume growth and mid double-digit value growth, driven largely by its prestige-and-above (P&A) portfolio. “Our focus remains on both value growth and volume growth. The momentum is absolutely sustainable,” Gupta said. He highlighted the performance of the company’s flagship whisky brand ICONiQ, which has crossed the 10 million cases milestone and is currently running at an annualised rate of around 12 million cases. The brand has also received approval from the Canteen Stores Department (CSD)

Norte Brewing and Food Hall opening in Wilsonville
Cerveceria Norte , a 2023 launched Hispanic beer brand, will open their first brick-and-mortar location in Wilsonville, Oregon as part of a mini food hall in a new apartments and mixed-use development. Norte Brewing launched in 2024 as the brainchild of Zoiglhaus brewer Nick Velasquez and brewmaster Alan Taylor. Norte was always intended to be it’s own thing, an expression of a community and a flavor sensibility quite separate from Zoiglhaus’s German and American beers. The creative direction largely came from Velasquez, who tapped into his Hispanic background to make beers that may fill a growing whole in local craft beer for the Latino community. But ultimately the relationship didn’t work out between Velasquez and Zoiglhaus, so they went back to the community for help and partnered with the Latino Network. “We are working on some stuff to keep it focused on the hispanic heritage behind the brand,” says Zoiglhaus brewmaster/co-owner Alan Taylor. “Getting a taproom and a place where w
