videoANDI WEIGAND | Natural Wine Documentary
We visited natural winemaker Andi Weigand to make our own custom collaboration bottle "Forever Young", a refreshing Riesling, Müller-Thurgau and Muskateller blend we made together in the cellar. We were also there to capture his ethos and winemaking style on camera, however, on arrival it became clear the focus of the video should be to capture the energy Andi creates with the people around him, and with one clear binding element alongside the wine? MUSIC Here, music intertwines in every aspect of the harvest and Andi firmly believes if the harvest team has a good vibe, this translates into the wine. Therefore, ensuring there is a good vibe with great music all the time is essential to make his wines great. We love that. Find Andi Weigand wines on www.morenaturalwine.com Thanks to Adam Simmons (Rhino Music, ASM) for the edit. 🍿 WATCH THESE NATURAL WINE DOCUMENTARIES NEXT 🍿 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AohD6PcPq8 | Pierre Overnoy, Jura https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6E0w
videoRockburn Tigermoth Riesling 2024
We'de like to introduce our 2024 Rockburn Tigermoth Riesling. The Riesling vines in our Parkburn Vineyard are over 20 years old now—venerable, low-yielding, and showing some age. This maturity brings complexity to the grapes, which we keep pruned low to capture the ideal ripeness for our Spätlese-style Riesling. The 2024 vintage delivered exceptionally clean fruit, resulting in a pure, smooth fermentation with no faults or funkiness—just vibrant, fruity clarity. We stop fermentation short of complete dryness, leaving a touch of residual sugar and an alcohol level of around 8%, creating a light, refreshing wine. It’s perfect for lunch or a sunny afternoon and promises to age gracefully for years to come.

The positive power of podcasting!

Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

How are sensory experiences like music, taste, and atmosphere all connected? In this episode of the Unreserved Wine Talk podcast, I'm chatting with Susan Lin, a Master of Wine and a Master of Fine Arts in Classical Piano and Musicology. You can find the wines we discussed at https://www.nataliemaclean.com/winepicks Highlights What did Susan's grandfather teach her about fine beverages and hospitality? How did playing piano in hotels as a child shape Susan's perspective on the holistic nature of our sensory experiences? Is there a connection between Susan's backgrounds in tech, music, and wine? When did Susan decide she wanted to dive deeper into the intersection between music and wine? What makes a wine "musical"? How do cross-modal correspondences impact wine tasting? podcast· 28:56321.
