You never get a second chance to make a first impression. That age-old adage is especially true when it comes to winning over the approval of discerning beer lovers. For the lesser-known breweries, the need to make that first customer experience an all-round palate-pleaser is absolutely critical. Your branding could be powerful, eye-catching and memorable,...

UB clarifies on financial leak
United Breweries Limited on May 7 reported an inadvertent disclosure of unpublished price-sensitive information (UPSI) linked to its annual financial results dated May 5, 2026. The company said that the prompt release of the results ensured there was no material impact warranting additional action under SEBI regulations or its Code of Fair Disclosure. In a regulatory filing, the company said an employee had unintentionally shared draft financial figures with an external party for legitimate purposes, but without adhering to prescribed safeguards under insider trading regulations. UB said its Board-approved annual financial results were officially disclosed to stock exchanges within hours of the incident on the same day. The company added that the prompt release of the results ensured there was no material impact warranting additional action under SEBI regulations. Describing the disclosure as part of good corporate governance practices, the company said it would take necessary measures

Almost-Summer Recipe Pairings Currently Living Rent Free in My Head

Nobody knows what time it is, [...]

May 12: Limerick Day
It's Limerick Day. Technically speaking, a proper limerick is a sometimes funny, sometimes poignant, sometimes obscene verse of five lines, in which the first, second, and fifth lines rhyme with each other, and the third and fourth lines, which are shorter, form a rhymed couplet. They're not as popular as they used to be, mostly due to the fact we live in an uptight politically correct age and most limericks were aggressively politically incorrect. A lot of famous writers have taken a crack at them, including Shakespeare. Here are two of his: And let me the canakin clink, clink. And let me the canakin clink. A soldier's a man, A life's but a span, Why then not let a soldier drink. And: Come, thou monarch of vine, Plumpy Bacchus with pink eye! Our cares be drowned, With grapes we're crowned, And so cup us till the world go round.
