Norte Brewing and Food Hall opening in Wilsonville
Cerveceria Norte , a 2023 launched Hispanic beer brand, will open their first brick-and-mortar location in Wilsonville, Oregon as part of a mini food hall in a new apartments and mixed-use development. Norte Brewing launched in 2024 as the brainchild of Zoiglhaus brewer Nick Velasquez and brewmaster Alan Taylor. Norte was always intended to be it’s own thing, an expression of a community and a flavor sensibility quite separate from Zoiglhaus’s German and American beers. The creative direction largely came from Velasquez, who tapped into his Hispanic background to make beers that may fill a growing whole in local craft beer for the Latino community. But ultimately the relationship didn’t work out between Velasquez and Zoiglhaus, so they went back to the community for help and partnered with the Latino Network. “We are working on some stuff to keep it focused on the hispanic heritage behind the brand,” says Zoiglhaus brewmaster/co-owner Alan Taylor. “Getting a taproom and a place where w

Spotlight Brewing was first profiled in our most anticipated new Oregon breweries opening in 2026 in January View fullsize View fullsize Oregon’s newest brewery has opened their doors in the former Pono Brewing Beer Labs, Columbia River Brewing, and original Laurelwood Brewing location at 4035 NE Sandy Blvd, Portland, OR 97212. Spotlight Brewing comes from the folks behind Zoiglhaus Brewing but is very much its own thing with its own brewhouse run by brewer Kevin Hanny creating his own original recipes. Spotlight Brewing opens in the larger concept Hollywood Q , a food hall with stalls for 10 different micro restaurant setups that wrap around from the Spotlight entrance on NE 40th to behind neighboring restaurant Sushi Chiyo and with a back/side entrance on NE Sandy boulevard. ForeLand Beer negotiating move from McMinnville to Upright Brewing
ForeLand Beer owner David Sanguinetti pulls a cask beer at Upright Brewing ForeLand Beer , a McMinnville, Oregon based brewery with a taproom in Portland, is closing their brewery and center of operations later this year. Located at 777 NE 4th St, the ForeLand Beer real estate has been sold to a new owner and the brewery will exit when their lease is up leaving the brand in a temporary limbo pending a big move. ForeLand Beer is in negotiations at the Leftbank Project development in Portland to take over the former Upright Brewing location at 240 N Broadway which closed in December 2024. Foreland, which was founded in 2020 by brewer Sean Burke and McMinnville brewery and taproom owner David Sanguinetti (The Bitter Monk, Allegory Brewing) won the Oregon Beer Awards Best New Brewery of the Year in 2021.
