Let’s Talk Tequila!
With the release of our newest spirit, it's time to talk about tequila, agave spirits, and the art of making America's favorite liquor – and yes, tequila sales have indeed surpassed all other spirit types for the first time in American history. You can read more about that here . Tequila is a distilled spirit made from blue Weber agave, primarily grown in the Jalisco state of Mexico. To be classified as tequila, it has to be made in Mexico within a limited geography. Additionally, the word “Tequila” is an appellation of origin/trademark of Mexico. Any product made from agave outside of a limited region of Mexico or from other varieties of agave is referred to as an agave spirit — hence why our spirit, made locally in our Florida distillery, is named as such.
