videoWhat are the best wines to pair with steak #shorts
A great steak and a bottle of red wine are maybe one of the world's greatest food and wine pairings. If you are looking to spice up your next wine pairing with steak a bit, check out these: Amarone della Valpolicella: Amarone wines have a unique flavor profile and are incredibly big, bold, and high in alcohol. They also have a sort of raisiny quality to them due to the overripe fruit that is used in the winemaking process. For you Amarone lovers out there, these wines can definitely pair well with steak! You simply need a fattier cut (ribeye, porterhouse/t-bone, New York strip) to stand up to the boldness of the wine. These two can definitely be a perfect match if done correctly! Côte-Rôtie (or any Northern Rhône Syrah): For well-seasoned pieces of meat, especially something like a peppercorn steak, Syrah from the Northern Rhône Valley in France can be a perfect pairing. These wines are smoky, meaty, and peppery, and pair harmoniously with well-seasoned meat. If you enjoy wines t
videoWhat's the difference between vintage and non-vintage champagne? #shorts
Let’s talk Champagne—specifically, vintage vs non-vintage.” Most Champagne you see is non-vintage, or NV. That means it’s a blend of wines from multiple harvest years. Why? Consistency. Champagne houses use reserve wines to recreate their signature house style year after year—same vibe, same balance, every time you pop the cork. Vintage Champagne, on the other hand, comes from a single exceptional year. It’s only made when the harvest is truly outstanding, and it reflects the personality of that specific vintage—the weather, the growing season, and the character of that year in the glass. A few key differences: Vintage Champagne is usually aged longer on the lees It tends to be more complex and structured And it’s often considered more collectible So how do you choose? If you want something reliable, fresh, and versatile, go non-vintage. If you’re celebrating something special—or want a deeper, more expressive Champagne—vintage is the move. Different styles, different purp

videoHow to track down that bottle of wine you loved at a restaurant #shorts
We constantly have customers coming into our store looking for a particular wine they had at a restaurant or at a friend's house. Here are some helpful tips to help track down the bottle you are looking for! 1. Make sure to photograph not only the front label of the bottle, but ALSO the back label! There are literally millions (yes, insane) of unique wines/labels that are produced each year. Each retailer only has the ability to carry a TINY fraction of what is out there, so if the shop does not recognize the label of the wine, they can always use the information on the back label to try and hunt down this bottle for you! 2. If you are traveling abroad, it is very likely that some of the wines you have are not available in the U.S. Since many international wineries have small production sizes, they have no reason to import their wines into the United States. For that reason, it will make it nearly impossible for U.S. retailers to find that wine. However, an expert wine consultant

videoHow to Pick Wines
Not sure what wine to pick when you're at the store? Listen to Wine Library VP Brandon Warnke give the most practical wisdom any wine buyer should know, especially when they're looking to give a great gift or show that they "know their stuff". First, select a price range, then try and find the bottle that tells you the MOST about where the wine is from; the more detailed and specific the producer is about the provenance and origin of its product, the more likely it is (generally speaking) to be a good #winebottle. This is a general statement - and while there are exceptions to this rule, but often times, the more info you find on the label, the better the wine! Transparent, good quality and fair-priced winemakers have nothing to hide and act accordingly.
