Why exactly do we swirl wine all the time? Glad you asked... ๐ท ๐๐ ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ. Oxygen allows aroma compounds to become more detectable and helps soften harsh tannins. You want to swirl most wines, but older vintage pours are more delicate and thus might become overoxidized. ๐๐ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ๐ณ-๐ฝ๐๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ผ๐ฟ๐. By stretching the liquid across the glass, you can better analyze a wine's color and viscosity.
