Chillable Red Wines Perfect for Summer
Yes, I love rosé for all my summer fun. I mean is there anything better at the beach or the lake? And I definitely drink more white and sparkling wine these days than red. But even with all of that, I still enjoy a fair amount of red wine. Yes - even in the ridiculously hot and humid Houston summer. So finding some chillable red wines is absolutely essential. Even at the lake, sometimes you just want a glass of red wine! Not every red wine shows well when it’s chilled. Chillable red wines tend to have a few things in common. They have lower alcohol, lower tannin level, high acidity, pronounced fruit flavor, and overall tend to be lighter-bodied. Save that tannic Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah for another time. A cold tannin can taste bitter and who wants that? Typically, red wine should be served between 55 and 65 degrees. It should be cool to the touch, which incidentally is a sore subject for me. It drives me batshit crazy when I go to restaurants and they bring me a bottle of red wine

Yello Whisky Review: Is Ranveer Singh's ₹2,700 Whisky Worth It?
Priced at ₹2,700 for a 750 ml bottle in Maharashtra, the whisky is also available across Goa, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru. At this price point, consumers are already looking at established Scotch labels such as Ballantine's , VAT 69 and Black & White . That naturally raises the question — what makes Yello worth considering? A Cross-Continental Blend The makers position Yello as a 'cross-continental blend' designed for today’s younger whisky drinker — consumers who are more experimental and open to contemporary flavour profiles. Produced at Allied Blenders & Distillers ’s Aurangabad facility, the whisky combines Scotch malts from the Highlands and Speyside with Indian malt whisky. While the concept of blending Scotch with Indian malts is hardly new in the Indian whisky industry, the execution is what matters. The blend leans heavily into a sweeter, softer flavour profile rather than spice-forward aggression. The Scotch malts, mature

LEARNING ABOUT WINE: Ranking Albariño Producers
Ranking Albariño Producers: Where Do Ferreiro, Granbazán, and the Field Fit Albariño producers are often discussed together, but they are not all working from the same conditions or toward the same result. What Wine Education Taught Me about Food
I've always loved food. Cookbooks stacked in the kitchen cabinets, the pretty ones displayed. I'm the kind of person who reads the entire menu before ordering. But it wasn't until I started learning about wine — really learning about it — that I understood how much of the eating experience I'd been missing. That sounds [...] The post What Wine Education Taught Me about Food appeared first on Capital Wine School .

🍇 WHERE WINE TAKES YOU – EPISODE 173: THE HIGHLANDS DISTRICT 🍷 Everybody knows Willow Creek. Everybody knows Adelaida. But venture east into Paso Robles and you’ll find one of the region’s most fascinating, and least understood, wine-growing areas: the Highlands District. videoForaging a meal with a Michelin Chef in the Italian Alps
Ciao! this is Pier and Chiara, Italians Sommelier and musicians. We travel a lot but home is Alba, the land of Barolo and Barbaresco wine. Deep in the Valle Varaita — a wild, almost unknown valley less than an hour from Barbaresco — we spent a morning foraging with Paolo Servaj, a chef who walked away from the Michelin world to build something completely different. "Servaj" in Piedmontese means wild. And that's exactly what this experience is. We hiked through alpine meadows collecting wild herbs, lichens, and edible plants — Herba di Santa Barbara, Pseudevernia furfuracea, Salvia Pratensis — then watched Paolo transform everything we'd gathered into a stunning omakase lunch on the spot: ricotta gnocchi with wild spinach, butter, and foraged sage. No menu. No supermarket. Just the mountain, the season, and the knowledge to read both. This is Piedmont beyond Barolo and the Langhe. And it will change how you think about food. ────────────────────────── 🌿 BOOK THE FORAGING EXPERI
